Chiquito Trail Named for former ranger Kenneth Munhall’s horse, the Chiquito Trail (not to be confused with nearby Chiquito Basin) runs through the Santa Ana Mountains, connecting the Viejo Tie trail and the San Juan Loop Trail. The drive to the trail head is very pleasant, and unlike some hikes in this area, it's well marked. I think the Sierra NF at least needs trash cans at the Trail Heads - people are using the bear-boxes at Quartz as a trash can.
